About Chris Cashman
Chris is a seasoned real estate professional with a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to both his career and community. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Delaware and embarked on his real estate journey in 1989. His tenure with Patterson-Schwartz began in 1993, and since 1997, he has been a dedicated Sales Manager at the Newark Sales Center.
Notably, Chris holds real estate licenses in Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, demonstrating his extensive regional expertise. He has been actively engaged in the real estate industry, serving on the Professional Standards Committee for the Cecil County Board of REALTORS® and previously for the New Castle County Board of REALTORS®. Throughout his career, Chris has consistently excelled, receiving prestigious sales awards such as the Rookie of the Year in 1989 from B. Gary Scott, Inc., and maintaining a Lifetime Membership in the New Castle County Board of REALTORS® Multimillion Dollar Club as well as The Realty Alliance for an impressive 25 years.

He has a history of public service, having served as the President of the New Castle Public Library for many years. Currently, he plays an active role on the Executive Committee of the New Castle Historical Society. Chris's dedication to community service has been recognized with the Community Service Award by the Cecil County Board of REALTORS® in 2010 and the Mel Stout Ethics Award from the New Castle County Board of REALTORS® in 2021.
In addition to his community involvement, Chris is deeply dedicated to nurturing real estate talent. He and David Watlington, the Middletown Sales Manager, often hold new agent training, joint sales meetings, social events, and other training activities. Chris has also partnered with Newark agent, Lori Davis, to train and mentor numerous top-producing agents. His philosophy is centered on creating an environment that empowers agents to achieve their goals, providing them with essential management, marketing, and administrative support.
Chris's commitment to professional excellence is further evidenced by his role as an instructor for the Delaware School of Real Estate, where he imparts his knowledge to aspiring real estate professionals through pre-licensing and continuing education classes.
